This policy explains what information Quality Building Supply collects when you visit qualitybuildingsupply.us or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We don’t sell your personal information.
Who we are
Quality Building Supply (“QBS,” “we,” “us”), 3492 Hwy 438 E, Lobelville, TN 37097. Questions about this policy: sales@qbs.us or 931-593-2027, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM Central.
Information you give us
When you request a quote, contact us, or apply for a job, we collect what you enter or tell us, such as:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- where you plan to build (town, state, ZIP code, and street address if you give it);
- details about your project, the plan or package you’re interested in, and any message you write;
- for job applications, the information and files you send with your application.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar tools:
- How you found us. Our own cookie (“qbs_src”) remembers the site or link that brought you here, the first page you visited and how many visits you made, for up to 90 days. If you send us a form, this is added to your request so we know which of our marketing is working.
- Google Analytics. Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, which pages they view and roughly where they’re from. We look at these numbers in total, not person by person. Learn more in Google’s privacy policy.
- Session recordings and heatmaps. See the next section.
Session recordings and heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity)
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use our website so we can make it easier to use. Clarity records how you interact with our pages, including mouse movements, clicks, taps, scrolling, the pages you visit, and your device, browser and approximate location. From this it creates recordings of visits and heatmaps of where people click and scroll. Clarity sets cookies named “_clck” and “_clsk” to recognize a visit.
What you type stays private. Text you enter in form fields is masked on your device and is not sent to Clarity. We don’t send your name, phone number or email address to Clarity.
When you send us a form, we save a link to the recording of that visit with your request, so the salesperson helping you can see which models or pages you looked at. Recordings are kept by Microsoft for about 30 days, after which the link no longer works. Only QBS staff with access to our Clarity account can view them. Microsoft processes this data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
How we use your information
- To answer your request, prepare quotes and assign the right salesperson.
- To follow up with you by phone or email about your project, including a check-in some months later if we couldn’t reach you.
- To process orders, deliveries and job applications.
- To understand which pages, plans and marketing bring customers to us, and to improve our website.
- To keep our records and meet legal requirements.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run our business, and only for that purpose: our website host, our customer and project management software (ClickUp), our email provider, form spam protection (Cloudflare), Google (Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity). We may also share information when the law requires it or to protect our rights and our customers.
Your choices
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website still works without them, though we won’t know how you found us.
- Google Analytics: you can opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
- Session recordings: blocking cookies or using a content or tracking blocker stops Clarity from recording your visits.
- Your information: to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop follow-up calls and emails, email sales@qbs.us or call 931-593-2027.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep customer and quote records as long as we need them to serve you and for our business and tax records. Clarity recordings expire after about 30 days. We use secure (HTTPS) connections and limit access to the people who need it, but no website or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
Our website is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted here.
